Seorang doktor pelatih berusia 26 tahun hilang sejak empat hari lalu selepas keluar untuk bertugas di Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah (HSB) di Alor Setar dekat sini pada pagi Isnin lalu. Dr. Mohd. Noor Azam Mohd. Nazri, 26, sehingga semalam gagal dihubungi dan kehilangannya merupakan satu misteri kerana tidak berlaku sebarang perselisihan faham antara dia dengan keluarga sebelum ini.

Graduan dari Moscow Medical Academy itu menjalani program latihan perubatan di HSB sejak Oktober tahun lalu. Bapanya, Mohd. Nazri Wan Senik, 54, berkata, kali terakhir dia berjumpa dengan Mohd. Noor Azam ialah ketika menghantarnya ke HSB kira-kira pukul 6.30 pagi Isnin lalu. Katanya, anaknya pada hari tersebut memakai kemeja berkolar warna kuning air, bertali leher dan berseluar hitam serta mengenakan uniform pegawai perubatan.“Bagaimanapun, ketika saya menghubunginya pada pukul 7 petang untuk mengambilnya pulang, panggilan telefonnya tidak berjawab menyebabkan saya terpaksa ke HSB kira-kira pukul 9 malam untuk mencarinya. “Kami pergi ke wad tempat dia bertugas dan dimaklumkan oleh petugas wad berkenaan bahawa dia tidak datang bekerja pada hari tersebut dan usaha mencari di sekitar hospital juga gagal menemuinya,” kata Mohd. Nazri ketika ditemui di rumahnya di Taman Bunga Raya.

JITRA: Doktor Mohd Noor Azam Mohd Nazri, 26, dari Taman Bunga Raya di sini dikhuatiri hilang setelah gagal dihubungi anggota keluarganya sejak empat hari lalu.
Bapanya, Mohd Nazri Wan Senik, 54, berkata beliau menyedari kehilangan anak pertama dari lima beradik itu apabila gagal menghubunginya ketika hendak menjemputnya pulang dari tempat kerjanya di Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah (HSB), Alor Setar.“Saya banyak kali membuat panggilan tapi tidak berjawab, kemudian saya ke wad tempat dia bertugas dan dimaklumkan oleh petugas wad berkenaan yang dia tidak datang kerja.
“Masa saya hantar di ke HSB dia lengkap berpakaian seragam doktor dan tidak menyangka dia tidak masuk kerja seperti kebiasaanya.
“Saya cuba mencarinya di sekitar hospital itu tetapi gagal,” katanya di sini, hari ini.

Ibu Mohd Noor Azam, Natrah Shaari, 52, berkata berikutan bimbang akan keselamatanan anaknya itu, satu laporan polis telah dibuat di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Kubang Pasu pada Selasa bagi membolehkan pihak polis berusaha mencari anaknya.“Saya bimbang sesuatu yang buruk menimpanya. Dia seorang anak yang baik dan tidak membantah cakap orang tua malah hubungannya dengan keluarga amat baik.
“Saya merayu kepada orang ramai yang jumpa anak saya segera hubungi balai polis berhampiran bagi membolehkan dia kembali ke pangkuan keluarga,” katanya.

IT’S not so much clean and green as clean and white.

The world’s largest solar-powered boat, the Turanor PlanetSolar, is sailing into Brisbane, after crossing the Pacific from the Panama Canal.

She will go on show on Sunday at Brisbane’s Riverside Centre Pontoon and remain open for inspection until June 2.

The 95 tonne Turanor is making its only Australian stop on a world circumnavigation, aimed at showing that renewable energy technologies work.

She is the idea of Swiss businessman and electrical engineer Raphael Domjan, who is sailing the boat without the need for sails or a clattering, pollution-producing diesel engine chewing non-renewable fuel.

Pushing it along on its 50,000km world-first voyage is a solar photovoltaic surface area of 537sq m, with 38,000 solar cells.

It left Monaco on September 27 and has already broken two records – the fastest crossing of the Atlantic by solar boat and longest distance covered by a solar electric vehicle.

Nearing Australia it struck big seas and overcast conditions, reducing the boat’s speed to just 37km a day, way down on its 200km-plus legs in fairer weather.

Her crew’s aim is to sail her at an average speed of 7.5 knots – just on 14km/h – which, they say, is about what a conventionally-powered oil tanker makes.

Solar panels are attached to outriggers that can be retracted in stormy weather. Energy is stored in batteries which can power the vessel’s electric motors without sunlight for three days at 7.5 knots.

Mr Domjan’s log details tough conditions for a solar-powered craft on Wednesday, with nose-on squalls to 74km/h.

“Distance covered during the last 24 hours: 20 sea miles (37km),” Mr Domjan said.

It was the first time the catamaran faced such tough conditions.

“We take every hit of the unchained ocean against our superstructure. The roar of the wind against our hull is deafening. One could have the impression of being in a cabin perched in the high mountains,” he said.

“…After more than 7500 miles in the Pacific Ocean which we covered in relative tranquillity, I believe that the greatest of all oceans has decided to show us how powerful it can be.”

Problem: Printing is too slow.

Solution: Rev up printer performance–and save ink in the process–by reducing print quality for everyday output. While printer settings vary by model, here’s how to switch to draft-printing mode in most Windows apps. Select Print and Properties, and then look for a setting that reduces print quality. With the HP Photosmart 8450, for instance, change the default print quality setting from Normal to Fast Draft (click screen-shot at right). Other speedup suggestions: Print pages from websites without graphics, and add RAM to your printer, if possible. Read “Speed Up Everything” for more tips.

If you’ve ever needed to access important files stored in a shared folder on your network but couldn’t because the network connection was unavailable, then you can understand the need for offline files. Using offline files, you can access files stored in shared network folders even when the network copies are unavailable. You can do this by choosing the network files you want to make available offline, which automatically creates a copy of the network files on your computer. These copies of network files that are stored on your computer are called offline files. Windows will automatically sync your offline files for you and open them whenever the network versions are unavailable.

Maka tersenyumlah Nabi Sulaiman mendengar kata-kata semut itu, dan berdoa dengan berkata:” Wahai Tuhanku, ilhamkanlah daku supaya tetap bersyukur akan nikmatMu yang Engkau kurniakan kepadaku dan kepada ibu bapaku, dan supaya aku tetap mengerjakan amal soleh yang Engkau redai; dan masukkanlah daku – dengan limpah rahmatMu – dalam kumpulan hamba-hambaMu yang soleh”.
